課題と苦悩 / Challenges and Struggles

いつも、今後の記事規格やイベント活動企画などの検討を進めながら、公式Webサイトの更新を始めとする活動を行なっていますが、運営の【 課題と苦悩 】についても採り上げていきたいと考えています。

We're constantly working on updating our official website and other activities, while also considering future article standards and event planning. We also wanted to address the challenges and struggles we face.

「課題と苦悩」と言うと、少し大袈裟に聞こえるかも知れませんが、1991年に活動を始めてから様々な課題に直面しつつ、一つひとつ解決しながら進めて来ましたが、どうしても解決が難しい「課題」もあります。それは、資金でも、目標設定でも、イベント開催会場でも、支援でもなく、「ライダーの意識」の問題です。それが、長年、取り組んでいる大きな「課題」であり、苦悩し続けている点です。

While "challenges and struggles" may sound a bit of an exaggeration, since we began our activities in 1991, we've faced and overcome various challenges one by one. However, some challenges remain unresolved. These challenges aren't funding, goal setting, event venues, or support; they're rider awareness. This is a major challenge we've been working on for many years, and one that continues to plague us.

「オートバイを走らせるだけなのに、苦悩？」と思う人も少なくないでしょうが、GRA が活動目標として掲げて追及している事の中では、「ライダーの意識」は大きな要素であり、それこそが オートバイが社会の中で広く受け入れられるのに欠かせないと考えているのです。

Many may wonder, "Why are there so many struggles when all we do is ride motorcycles?" However, rider awareness is a major element of GRA's goals and pursuits, and we believe it's essential for motorcycles to be widely accepted in society.

具体的なプランは、今後、煮詰めていく予定ですが、機会がある旅に、この「課題」に触れた内容の記事を掲載しながら少しずつ進んでいきますので、理解と賛同の輪が少しでも広がる事を期待しています。

We plan to continue to refine our specific plans in the future, but we will be moving forward little by little by publishing articles that touch on these "challenges" when we have the opportunity to travel, and we hope that this will help to expand the circle of understanding and support, even if only a little.

GRAの公式Webサイト と GRAの発信を世界の多くの人へ届ける為に、Threads と Ameba への展開を始めます。

To deliver GRA's official website and communications to a wider global audience, we are launching our presence on Threads and Ameba.

Threads は、ご存知の通り、Instagram を展開している Meta社 が、X（旧Twitter）に対抗して始めているSNS で、Amebaは 国内のブログサイトとしては圧倒的に多数の利用者数を持つサービスですから、更に多くの人への発信に役立つと確信しています。また、Threads は X と同様に 海外へ向けての英語発信で効果を挙げると期待しています。

As you may know, Threads is a new social networking service launched by Meta, the company behind Instagram, to compete with X (formerly Twitter). Ameba is Japan's overwhelmingly most popular blog site, so we are confident it will help us reach even more people. Furthermore, we expect Threads, like X, to be effective for English-language outreach to international audiences.

GRAの発信を、もっと世界のライダーへ届けたいので、あなたのアドバイスをお聞かせ下さい。
We want to reach more riders worldwide with GRA's messages, so please share your advice.

オートバイは、世界各国で販売されていて、数多くライダーが乗っていて、そこには乗り方やメインテナンスの方法は同じで世界共通です。だから、GRA が発信している内容も世界のライダーにとって参考にしてもらえる事があると信じて発信活動を続けています。例えば、日本語の他に英文も記載した記事を作成して、公式Webサイト 以外に、Facebook や X（旧Teitter）の他に、ブログや SNS で発信を続けています。
そして、今月、新たに 【 Linked-in 】と【 reddit 】を通じた発信活動も始めました。

Motorcycles are sold worldwide, ridden by countless riders, and the methods for riding and maintenance are the same globally. Therefore, we believe the content GRA shares can be useful for riders worldwide and continue our outreach activities. For example, we create articles in both Japanese and English, sharing them not only on our official website but also on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), blogs, and other SNS platforms.
We have also recently started sharing content through 【LinkedIn】 and 【Reddit】.

これからも試行錯誤しながら発信活動を続けていきますが、効果的な SNS や メディアをご存知の方、実際に利用されている方がいらっしゃいましたら、是非、アドバイスをお願い致します。
また、これからも GRA の発信活動に変わらずご期待をお願いします。

We will continue our outreach efforts through trial and error. If you know of effective SNS platforms or media channels, or if you actively use them, we would greatly appreciate your advice.

記事「セルフステア ライディング」制作中 / Article "Self-steer Riding" in Production

現在、解説記事「セルフステア ライディング」を制作中です。

「セルフステア」は、タイヤを確実にグリップさせて、速く、安全に走らせる為にオートバイに備わっている大切な機能です。 しかし、「セルフステア」に関するアンケート結果から、充分に理解されていない事がはっきりしたからです。

We are currently working on an explanatory article titled "Self-steer Riding".

"Self-steering" is an important function on motorcycles that allows the tires to grip the road securely and allows the rider to ride quickly and safely. However, the results of a survey on "self-steering" made it clear that it is not fully understood.
　　

「セルフステア」については、多くのライダーがある程度は知っていても、深くは理解せず、オートバイ走行のあらゆる場面で積極的に活用する事までは実践していません。 記事では、それらを一つずつ、解説図を使いながら、分かり易く、詳しく解説する予定で、必ず参考になる点もあると思います。是非、ご期待ください。

Although many riders know about "self-steer" to some extent, they do not understand it deeply and do not actively use it in every situation when riding a motorcycle. In the article, we plan to explain each of these points in detail and in an easy-to-understand manner using explanatory diagrams, and we are sure that there will be some useful information. 掲載企画「GRAは 支援の塊（かたまり）です」 / Publication project "GRA is a Mass of Support"

現在、GRAと支援との関わりについて紹介する記事『GRAは 支援の塊（かたまり）です』を製作中です。数回に分けて掲載する紹介記事の冒頭の言葉を紹介します。

We are currently producing an article titled "GRA is a Mass of Support" that introduces the relationship between GRA and support. This introductory article will be published in several parts, and the opening words are presented below.

 
「 GRAは、誕生した時から、数多くの人々から数えきれない“支援” を受け続けています。そして、その貴重な “支援” を守り継承していくために、“支援” の心を共有する人々と、これからも支援活動を続けていきます。」

”Since its inception, GRA has receiving countless Support from numerous people. Therefore, to protect and pass on that precious Support, we will continue our support activities with people who share the spirit of Support."

2025年も『支援こそ真髄』で、/ in 2025 too, "Support is the Essence"

2025年の活動方針＜案＞が決まりました。 と言っても、それは私たちにとっては、発足時から変わらない「活動テーマ」です。

The draft action plan for 2025 has been decided. This is the theme of our activities that has not changed since its inception.

そんな【 支援 】を行なっている者の集まりがGRAであり、【 支援 】を必要とする人たちに知ってもらい、必要な支援を届ける為の活動を前進させていきたいと考えています。この想いを基本として、具体的な活動などについて、後日、みなさんからの意見や提案を寄せていただく機会を設けたいと考えておりますので、関心のある方は、是非、お寄せください。

GRA is a group of people who are providing such support, and we would like to make it known to those who need it and move forward with activities to deliver the necessary support. Based on this idea, we would like to provide an opportunity for you to send us your opinions and suggestions on specific activities at a later date, so if you are interested, please send us your information.

正式な活動方針は、3月9日に開催する GRAミーティングでの協議の上で決まります。

「支援金」窓口の公開準備中です / Preparing to open the "Support Fund" window

現在、GRAの活動の支援を「支援金」で支える気持ちのある方に向けて、送金先の銀行口座などの公開準備を進めています。とは言っても、「赤字なので、お金をください」という考えは全くありません。
 
その一番大きな理由は、GRAは非営利の活動法人、つまり、NPO法人だからです。
一般的な会社法人の様に利益を追求する法人ではなく、元々、利益を求める事は考慮せず、社会貢献の為に設立した法人です。ですから、GRAの様に小さな NPO法人の多くは債務超過、つまり、赤字を覚悟で運営されています。その極端なNPO法人の代表例は、法人の最終目的が異なるので比較は出来ませんが、AI の ChatGPT の開発で有名な OpenAI で、今年も 50億ドル（約 7700億円）の赤字が見込まれています。

二つ目の理由は、「応援しているよ」という気持ちの窓口を増やす為です。
各種SNSへの投稿記事や Youtube での公開動画に対して、「いいよ」とか「大切だね」という皆さんからの反応が私達にとって大きな励みになっているのと同様に、「応援しているよ」という気持ちを受け止める窓口を増やしたいからです。

以上の理由から、気が向いた人が、気が向いた時に、一口 100円から、気軽に送金をして、「応援しているよ」の気持ちを、郵便局や銀行の窓口へ行かなくても、気軽に届けられるシステムを予定しています。
では、また改めて報告いたします。

The main reason for this is that GRA is a non-profit organization, that is, a non-profit organization.
It is not a corporation that pursues profits like a general corporate corporation, but a corporation that was originally established for social contribution without considering the pursuit of profits. Therefore, many small NPOs like GRA are operating in the form of insolvency, that is, in the red. A representative example of that extreme NPO corporation is not comparable because the ultimate purpose of the corporation is different, but OpenAI, which is famous for the development of AI ChatGPT, is expected to have a deficit of $ 5 billion (about 770 billion yen) this year as well.

The second reason is to increase the number of contact points for people to feel that they are supporting you.
In the same way that we are greatly encouraged by the responses from people who say "It's okay" or "It's important" to articles posted on various social media sites and videos published on Youtube, we want to increase the number of points of contact that accept the feeling of "I support you."

For the above reasons, we are planning a system that allows people who feel like it to easily send money from 100 yen per bite when they feel like it, and can easily deliver the feeling of "I support you" without having to go to the post office or bank counter.

画像公開していきます / We will be posting Images

GRAの広報資料の作成を進めていた時、「オートバイで走行している画像が少ない」という事に気付きました。 オートバイを走らせる事が当たり前になり過ぎて、広報用の資料にさえ殆ど掲載していなかった事に気付かなかったのです。そこで、次回作成の広報用資料に掲載するのとは別に、GRAの事をあまり知らない人の為に、走行中の画像を少しずつ公開していく事にしました。きっと、楽しんでもらえると思います。

When I was preparing the PR materials for GRA, I noticed that there were few images of motorcycles in motion. Riding motorcycles has become so commonplace that I didn't realize that I hardly ever included them in the PR materials. So, apart from including them in the next PR materials, I decided to gradually release images of GRA in motion for people who don't know much about it. I'm sure you'll enjoy them.

また、GRAはオートバイを走らせる事ばかりだと誤解している人に、オートバイを中心に色々な楽しみ方をしてきた事を伝える為に、こんな画像の公開も時々していきます。これは、1995年4月に開催のジムカーナパーティ・「白のパーティ」（ジムカーナグランプリと併催）のひとコマです。パーティのドレスコードが「白」だったので、ウェディングドレスで参加した人です。さらに、その後のパーティでは、もっと過激（？）なコスチュームも登場していますので、ぜひ、楽しみにお待ちください。

Also, to let people who have the misconception that GRA is all about motorbikes know that we have had many different ways of having fun, with motorbikes at the core, we will occasionally post images like this one. This is a scene from the Gymkhana Party "White Party" (held in conjunction with the Gymkhana Grand Prix) held in April 1995. The dress code for the party was "white," so this person attended in a wedding dress. Furthermore, at subsequent parties, even more extreme (?) costumes have appeared, so please look forward to them.
